In the accreditation scheme for inspection bodies, we evaluate the competence of any company, entity or institution that offers inspection services at national level. This activity demands the professional judgment of those who develop it, particularly when assessing conformity with respect to general requirements defined in the technical standards.
To grant accreditation under this scheme, ONAC uses the evaluation criteria established in the ISO/IEC 17020 standard. Its objective is to ensure that this type of organization has demonstrated technical competence through its personnel, equipment, methods and procedures, in line with its management system and the impartiality and independence that the organization wishes to display.
The accredited bodies in this scheme offer inspection services required in any type of installation, equipment, elements, goods and/or services, covering different stages of the life cycle of these items, including the design stage. For example, we have as field of application: installations for the supply of fuel gas, electrical installations and public lighting and interior lighting, vertical transport systems (elevators, escalators, ramps), lifting equipment and yellow machinery, equipment and elements through non-destructive testing, internal telecommunications networks, service stations, among others.

Teniendo en cuenta que el pasado 2 de abril de 2024 el reglamento técnico de instalaciones eléctricas RETIE fue actualizado, al igual que los OEC, ONAC se encuentra analizando las acciones necesarias para incluir esta versión del reglamento en los alcances de acreditación de los OEC interesados.
Es así, que una vez hayamos definido el plan y ajustado nuestros documentos del sistema de gestión, les informaremos a través de una nota técnica o documento equivalente el paso a paso para recibir sus solicitudes en los diferentes esquemas de acreditación relacionados.
